2 Clemson Signees Earn Atlanta Tipoff Honors

CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson University men’s basketball signee Harris Reynolds (Atlanta, Ga./St. Pius X Catholic) was named Metro Atlanta Player of the Year by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Amare James (Marietta, Ga./Wheeler) was named to the Third Team, announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on Thursday.

Reynolds recently helped St. Pius X to a 33-0 season with a state basketball title – its first in 68 years. He scored 23 points with nine rebounds and two blocks in a 54-51 victory over Pace Academy.

Reynolds is a consensus four-star prospect that signed with Clemson and rated No. 90 by 247Sports.

James also won a Georgia state championship with Wheeler High School as it defeated Pebblebrook 62-52 to win its 11th state championship.
