After Clemson was eliminated by Duke in the ACC Tournament, injured freshman guard Zac Foster made it pretty clear he was planning to return next season.
“We got a good group of young guys, so I feel like when I do get back, you will see a lot of fast-paced tempo and just team chemistry,” Foster told TCI in Charlotte. “We like each other a lot off the court, so hopefully that will flow onto the court.”
On Monday, he confirmed that, telling The Field of 68 that he will indeed be back with the Tigers next season.
After signing with Clemson as a Top 65 prospect, Foster played in 12 games before suffering a torn ACL. He averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game prior to the injury.
As a senior at Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Foster averaged 17.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game and helped lead his school to a 24-4 overall record and a 13-1 record within the 5A region. He was named the 2025 GHSA 5A Region 4 Player of the Year. Foster was also an All-State First Team selection, as well as the Class AAAAA Player of the Year.
The 6-foot-4 guard is expected to be a part of a dangerous backcourt next season at Clemson, which will also feature Ace Buckner and incoming freshman Harris Reynolds, who is a Top 75 recruit, per Rivals.
