Clemson Offer Would Be ‘Full-Circle Moment for 4-Star QB

One of the more high-profile quarterbacks in the 2028 class returned to Clemson last weekend.

Four-star signal caller Brady Quinn was back on campus last Sunday, just after the Tigers returned from spring break. It was his first time back since working out at camp last summer.

It was one of those visits where the prospect got a lot of time with some of the coaches on the staff, with Quinn spending that time with offensive coordinator Chad Morris and quarterbacks coach Tajh Boyd.

“What really stood out was Coach Boyd’s energy with the quarterbacks,” Quinn told The Clemson Insider. “I spent the whole day with him, and I love how he coaches.”

Quinn threw for 2,960 yards and 37 touchdowns as a sophomore last season at Naples Lely (FL). He has since transferred to nine-time state champion Chaminade-Madonna Prep (FL).

While Quinn has a longstanding relationship with Boyd, this visit served as the first chance he’s had to meet Morris in person.

“This was my first time meeting him, and I thought he was really cool,” Quinn said. “I got to sit in the meeting room with him, and he definitely has a very strong mind.”

It also didn’t take long for Quinn to realize he’d be a really good fit in Morris’ scheme.

“I definitely can see myself in their offense,” Quinn added. “I see a lot of myself in the quarterbacks that are there right now.”

Rivals ranks Quinn No. 186 overall and No. 16 among all quarterbacks in his class.

No, Quinn is not the son of the former Notre Dame quarterback, as many assume when first seeing his name. However, having grown up in a family of Notre Dame fans, he was named after the former Fighting Irish signal caller.

In fact, after he visited Clemson, he made a stop at Indiana, then headed to South Bend for a visit. He also plans to make stops at Purdue, Miami, SMU, Alabama and Kentucky.

Quinn also grew up with Clemson holding a special place in his heart. During this visit, the staff informed him he was currently one of the top quarterbacks on the board and he plans to be back for camp in June in the hopes of landing an offer.

“It would mean a lot to me,” Quinn said. “I grew up a Clemson fan and loved them growing up. Getting that offer would be a full-circle moment. The fact that they only offer a few quarterbacks, if I were one of them, I’d love that.”
