This Clemson transfer has found her new college home, and she’s heading back home.
Former Clemson women’s basketball guard Hannah Kohn announced Friday that she has committed to transfer to the University of South Florida.
A native of Oviedo, Fla., Kohn announced on April 3 that she would enter the transfer portal for her final year of eligibility. The women’s college basketball transfer portal opened on April 6.
Kohn spent two seasons at Clemson in 2024-25 and 2025-26 following one season at Chattanooga in 2023-24. She transferred to Clemson when head coach Shawn Poppie came to Clemson from Chattanooga.

As a junior this past season, Kohn appeared in all 33 games (12 starts) for Clemson as the Tigers went 21-12 and made the NCAA Tournament. She averaged 4.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 18.8 minutes per game while shooting 30.6 percent from the field and 30.1 percent from 3-point range.
Kohn recorded five double-digit scoring performances and a pair of three-plus steal games this past season.
One of her biggest highlights came in Clemson’s upset of No. 9 Duke at Littlejohn Coliseum on Feb. 22, when she hit the game-winning 3-pointer. She was named ACC Nothing But Net Moment of the Year for that game-winner.
Kohn now joins a USF program that went 20-12 this past season, including 13-5 in American Conference play. On March 24, USF named veteran SEC head coach Kristy Curry as the new head coach of the Bulls women’s basketball program, which has made eight NCAA Tournament appearances and won four conference titles since 2015.
