The Clemson men’s basketball program is reportedly slated to host this transfer big man.
Charlotte transfer center Anton Bonke is scheduled to visit Clemson, according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
Bonke visited Kansas on Wednesday ahead of a visit to Michigan State on Friday, per Borzello, who noted that Bonke will then visit Cincinnati, NC State and South Carolina, along with Clemson.
Arkansas, TCU, Southern Cal and Gonzaga are also in the mix for the 7-foot-2, 260-pounder, according to Borzello.
As a junior this past season, Bonke appeared in all 34 games for Charlotte, making 32 starts. He averaged 10.6 points and a team-high 8.3 rebounds in 25.6 minutes per game, while making 57.6 percent of his field goals, including 34.2 percent of his attempts from 3-point range.
Before joining the 49ers, Bonke played his freshman year at Eastern Arizona College, where he started 16 of the 17 games he appeared in, averaging 9.8 points and 5.8 rebounds. The native of Port Vila, Vanuatu then spent a season at Providence, playing in 16 games and starting one for the Friars, while averaging 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.5 minutes per contest.
