A longstanding Clemson target has tweaked his official visit plans, and that is not good news for the Tigers.
Four-star safety Davion Jones (Hough, NC) has nixed Clemson from his official visit schedule. He now plans to be at Georgia that weekend, which is May 29-31. He also scratched Tennessee from the list.
Jones’ official visit schedule now looks like this.
- Georgia: May 29
- Auburn: June 5
- LSU: June 12
- South Carolina: June 19
Jones, who picked one of the Tigers’ opening offers last summer, was last on campus for the Elite Retreat back in early March.
The 247 Composite ranks the 5-foot-11 prospect No. 134 overall and No. 7 among all safeties in the country.
Clemson already has one safety committed in three-star Harrison Luke. Three-star Seth Williams, who made news last week by going public with his decommitment, is still scheduled to be on hand for the big official visit weekend, as is four-star Jarrell Chandler.
