CLEMSON – Clemson had another player selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Former Tiger linebacker Wade Woodaz was selected No. 123 overall by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the draft on Saturday in Pittsburgh, Pa. Woodaz is the seventh former Tiger taken in the draft, joining offensive tackle Blake Miller (No. 17, first round), Peter Woods (No. 29, first round), T.J. Parker (No. 35, second round) and Avieon Terrell (No. 48, second round), wide receiver Antonio Williams (No. 71, third round), and quarterback Cade Klubnik (No. 110, fourth round).
Woodaz, in his track career at Jesuit High School, threw the javelin and participated in the long jump, also running several relays in his four-year career. The graduate’s track background was on full display at Clemson’s Pro Day on March 12, when the veteran blazed his way to a 4.52-second 40-yard dash time.
At Clemson, Woodaz was a two-year starter at linebacker who contributed at both linebacker and safety during his collegiate career. He was credited with 217 tackles (28.5 for loss), including nine sacks, 13 pass breakups, three interceptions, one interception return for a TD, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt in 51 games. He started 30 games in his Clemson career.
A third-team All-ACC performer, Woodaz was second on the team in tackles in 2025. He was credited with 77 tackles (7.0 for loss), four pass breakups and a half-sack.
