Another Swing and Miss for Clemson

Clemson has suffered another miss on the recruiting trail.

Four-star OL Peyton Miller (Anna, TX) announced a commitment to Florida on Monday, choosing the Gators over Clemson, Texas Tech and Texas, among other schools.

Miller picked up one of the Tigers’ opening offers back in June and has made the trek back to campus multiple times since, including the Elite Retreat in March. Offensive line coach Matt Luke was also in to see him late last week, and he was scheduled to be at the big official visit weekend, May 29-31.

“I definitely view Clemson as very different,” Miller told TCI last month. β€œIt is definitely very high on my list.”

ESPN ranks Miller No. 68 overall and as the No. 1 interior lineman in the class.

The Tigers have yet to land an offensive lineman in the 2027 class, and Miller makes the fifth player at the position with an offer from Clemson to commit elsewhere.

A number of targets are still scheduled to be on hand for the big official visit weekend, including four-star Carter Jones, four-star Elijah Hutcheson, four-star Reed Ramsier and three-star Elijah Morrison.

The Tigers also just offered four-star JJ Brown over the weekend, and there is a good chance Clemson ends up getting an official from him.
