Former Bama Commit Visits Clemson, 2029 QB to Watch

A former SEC pledge is fresh off a visit to Clemson.

Three-star CB Nash Johnson (McEachern, GA) visited over the weekend. Johnson was at one time committed to Alabama before decommitting in early April.

The 6-foot-1 defensive back has become one of the more heavily pursued corners in the 2027 class. He has more than 30 offers and has officials set with Ole Miss, Auburn, Tennessee and Miami.

Auburn, Georgia Tech, Miami and Florida were some of the other schools to have received spring visits.

2029 QB Ty Snell (Allen, TX), who impressed during Sunday’s UA Next Camp series stop in Charlotte, is expecting a member of the staff to attend one of his spring practices this week. Offensive coordinator Chad Morris had a short stint as the head coach at Snell’s high school.

The 6-foot-3 signal caller is still extremely early in the process, but already has more than two dozen offers. Florida State, Oregon, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Tennessee are some of the schools to have already pulled the trigger.
