Clemson Stays Hot, Adds Another Commitment

Clemson has landed another commitment.

Three-star TE Carter Blackwell (Lee County, GA) announced a commitment to the Tigers on Tuesday, choosing Clemson over Florida State, Duke and UCF.

Blackwell, who picked up his offer last month, is the fifth player to commit to Clemson in the past eight days, joining safety Jarrell Chandler, lineman Carter Jones, running back Gary Walker and receiver Jamarin Simons, each of which are four-star talents.

As a junior, Blackwell caught 24 passes for 438 yards with five touchdown grabs. He is slated to be on campus this weekend for the big official visit gathering.

Blackwell is the first tight end to commit and his addition now gives the Tigers 12 verbal pledges in a class that ranks inside the Top 15 nationally at Rivals.
