New Update On Former Clemson Commit

Former Clemson commit Seth Williams’ recruitment has been full of twists and turns.

The three-star safety, out of Lakeside (GA) committed to Clemson while on an unofficial visit in late March, then quickly decided he’d pulled the trigger too early and decommitted. However, the Tigers have remained heavily involved and are still one of his top schools.

Williams has kept his plans to attend Clemson’s big official visit gathering this weekend locked in, with Florida State and Florida also being on the docket originally. However, he has made some big changes to his schedule.

After being at Clemson this weekend, Williams will now take an official to Georgia (June 5-7), something TCI hinted at about 10 days ago. After that, he heads to Florida (June 11-13), before finishing with Ohio State (June 19-21). The Bulldogs and Buckeyes both pulled the trigger on offers a couple of weeks back. The one from Georgia should be considered a substantial one. LSU, Texas Tech and Auburn all offered recently as well, pushing him up to more than 50 offers in total.

As a junior in 2025, Williams recorded 73 tackles, two interceptions, five tackles for loss, one forced fumble and five pass breakups, to go with 10 receptions for 222 yards and three touchdowns.

Clemson already has two safeties committed in the class with four-star Jarrell Chandler announcing last week and three-star Harrison Luke being a longstanding member.
