Clemson continues to add major pieces to the 2027 recruiting class, with four of those coming on Monday alone.
Four-star offensive lineman JJ Brown (Parkview, GA) announced a commitment to the Tigers on Monday, choosing Clemson over Georgia, Auburn and Kentucky, among others. He picked up his offer back in April after an unofficial visit. Brown was originally planning to announce on June 23.
Brown joins four-star offensive lineman Luke Starcevic, four-star DE Desmond Malpress and three-star tight end Nicholas Pollack as players to announce commitments on Monday.
“Knowing how selective Clemson is, the offer meant a lot,β he told TCI after the offer. βIt was a blessing and showed they believe in me.β
The 6-foot-5, 305-pounder was trending towards the Dawgs, but after attending the official visit weekend, Brown has decided to shut things down.
The Rivals Industry Rankings slot Brown No. 278 overall and No. 24 among all tackles in the class.
This marks the 12th verbal pledge for Clemson over the past two weeks, as Brown now becomes the 19th member of a class that ranks inside the Top 10. He is the fourth offensive lineman to commit, joining Starcevic, four-star Carter Jones and four-star Elijah Morrison.
