Alabama Edge Rusher Commits to Clemson

Clemson continues to stay scorching hot on the recruiting front.

Three-star DE JiQuan Rogers (Ramsay, AL) announced a commitment on Tuesday, choosing the Tigers over other schools that included Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Colorado and Florida.

Rogers is the sixth commitment for Clemson in the past two days and the 14th in the last two-plus weeks.

When Clemson offered back in the middle of April, it marked the 6-foot-3, 225-pound edge rusher’s first one from a Power-4 school. However, his stock has soared since, with several more schools jumping into the mix. Georgia Tech, Florida, Mississippi State, NC State, Arkansas and Florida State are just some of the schools to have extended offers since then.

As a junior, Rogers was credited with 36 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, seven sacks and a fumble returned for a touchdown.

Rogers is the third defensive end to commit to Clemson in the 2027 class, joining four-star talents Santana Harvey and Desmond Malpress. His addition gives the Tigers 21 verbal pledges, with 247 ranking the class inside the Top 10.
