Former Tiger Back in Transfer Portal

A former Clemson baseball player is back in the transfer portal.

Infielder Cooper Blauser has entered the portal again.

Blauser spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Clemson before transferring to Jacksonville State, where he played in 2025 and 2026.

This year, over 62 games (all starts), Blauser hit .307 with 18 doubles, three triples, five home runs, 57 RBIs, 58 runs scored and 26 stolen bases. He finished the 2025 season with a .300 average, with 20 doubles, four triples, four home runs, 44 RBIs, 52 runs scored and 25 steals across 61 games (all starts).

After redshirting the 2023 season at Clemson, Blauser appeared in 12 games in 2024, starting eight of them. He had three hits and three RBI in 29 at-bats. One of those three hits was a home run and he also had one double.

Prior to joining Clemson, Blauser was ranked as the No. 448 player and No. 104 shortstop in the nation by Perfect Game, and the No. 44 player and No. 13 shortstop in Georgia by Perfect Game. The Georgia native lettered four times in baseball and three times in football at Wesleyan School, where he was a member of the state championship team as a senior.

His father, Jeff, played baseball in the majors with the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs and was an All-Star in 1993 and 1997.
