Former Clemson Slugger SEC Bound

A former Clemson standout is heading to the SEC.

Former Tiger Nate Savoie announced a commitment to Texas A&M late Monday.

As a sophomore, while splitting time between the outfield, catcher and DH, the right-handed slugger hit 329 and was second on the team with 16 homers. His 52 RBI and .596 slugging percentage led the Tigers, and he was also second on the team with 16 doubles.

Savoie, who spent just one season at Clemson, began his career at Loyola Marymount, where he was the West Coast Conference’s Freshman of the Year in 2025. He hit .300 during his first collegiate season, with 20 home runs and 61 RBI, while slugging .675. He added 14 doubles, a triple and scored 42 runs in 51 games.

Savoie has two seasons of eligibility remaining and will be draft-eligible following the 2027 season.
