Erik Bakich has added another portal piece to his Clemson roster.
UMBC transfer pitcher Kailen Hackmann has committed to the Tigers, according to a report from D1 Baseball.
The hard-throwing right-hander made 20 relief appearances as a freshman in 2026, going 7-0 with a 3.07 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 41 innings of work. The 6-foot-7, 220-pounder walked 23, and opponents hit .238 against him. He was named to the America East All-Rookie team.
He played his high school ball at Washington Liberty in Arlington, Virginia.
Hackmann currently has three years of eligibility remaining. He is the seventh portal addition for Clemson since the end of the season, and the third pitcher to be added via transfer, joining Bryant’s Landon White and Bowling Green’s Jackson Miller.
