Legacy Lineman ‘Always Dreamed’ of Clemson Offer

A Clemson legacy has seen one of his dreams come to fruition.

2028 offensive lineman Brendan Hall (South Mecklenburg, NC) picked up an offer from the Tigers on Wednesday, something he readily admits he’s been striving for since he started his football journey.

“Words can’t describe how much earning the offer means,” Hall told The Clemson Insider. “I have always dreamed of having the chance to be a Tiger.”

Hall is the son of Les Hall, who served as an offensive lineman at Clemson from 1988-92. With his father being an alum, Brendan has been attending Dabo Swinney’s high school camp since he was a youngster, and this summer was no different. Hall worked out just over two weeks ago, with his performance playing a role in earning one of the Tigers’ opening offers.

“(Matt Luke) said I had a great day. Loved the way I finished,” Hall said after his camp workout. “He said there were other dudes there, with recruiting profiles like mine, and they weren’t giving as much effort. That was really good to hear from him.”

Hall was also on hand for the spring elite day back in April. Since then, he has seen his recruitment really take off, with Duke, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Missouri, Maryland and South Carolina also jumping in with offers. NC State and Kentucky have also offered.

Now that he’s added the offer from Clemson, it’s a pretty safe bet that a game-day visit gets added to his docket at some point in the future.

“I would love to go see a game from the field,” Hall said. “I have been going to games, I mean twice a year, three times a year — I have just been going. It would truly be unbelievable for the first time to go there for the recruiting experience and not just a fan in the stands.”
