Kailen Hackmann’s commitment to Clemson is official.
Late last week, D1 Baseball reported the UMBC transfer pitcher had committed to the Tigers, and now the hard-throwing right-hander has made it official with a social media post.
Hackmann made 20 relief appearances as a freshman in 2026, going 7-0 with a 3.07 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 41 innings of work. The 6-foot-7, 220-pounder walked 23, and opponents hit .238 against him. He was named to the America East All-Rookie team.
He played his high school ball at Washington Liberty in Arlington, Virginia.
Hackmann currently has three years of eligibility remaining. He is the seventh portal addition for Clemson since the end of the season, and the third pitcher to be added via transfer, joining Bryant’s Landon White and Bowling Green’s Jackson Miller.
