Clemson Represented Well on All-ACC Academic Team

CLEMSON — A total of 13 Clemson players were named to the All-ACC Academic Baseball Team, announced Tuesday by the league office.

Requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 GPA for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative GPA during one’s academic career. In addition, position players must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests and pitchers in at least 20 percent.

Joe Allen became the first Tiger baseball player in history to make the team four times. Jacob Jarrell and Aidan Knaak earned the honor for the third time, while Luke Gaffney and Tryston McCladdie were named to the team for the second time.

First-time selections were Talan Bell, Brendon Bennett, Dion Brown, Jason Fultz Jr., Dylan Harrison, Danny Nelson, Hayden Simmerson and Eston Simpson.
