Former Clemson star Cam Cannarella just continues to rake at the Double-A level.

Cannarella stayed red-hot at the plate for Pensacola, the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, going 3-for-5 and earning game MVP honors. One of Cannarella’s hits included his ninth home run in his last 15 games.

The left-handed hitter is now hitting .349 since being called up, with nine homers, 23 RBI, four doubles and five stolen bases.

In 19 games at High-A this season prior to his promotion to Double-A, Cannarella slashed a stellar .394/.439/.577 with a 1.016 OPS in 71 at-bats over 19 games. The 22-year-old logged three home runs, two doubles, one triple, 22 RBI, 15 runs scored and two stolen bases, while walking eight times and striking out only 10 times.

Cannarella was selected by the Marlins in the Competitive Balance Round A (No. 43 overall) of the 2025 MLB Draft. He was the final pick prior to the second round. The Marlins agreed to a deal with Cannarella for $2,277,425 (slot value = $2,276,700).

In his three-year Clemson career (2023-25), Cannarella – a three-time All-ACC selection and two-time All-American — hit .360 with 262 hits, 54 doubles, eight triples, 23 homers, 159 RBIs, 192 runs and 30 steals in 178 games. He also had a .551 slugging percentage and .453 on-base percentage.
