Pro Football Focus (PFF) assembled its “All-PFF Team” highlighting the best NFL players at each position over the last 20 years.
A pair of former Clemson stars made the list – wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.
Hopkins is the first-team slot on the All-PFF offensive squad.
The now 34-year-old, 13-year NFL veteran, who currently remains a free agent heading into training camps, is a five-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler.
Hopkins spent last season with the Baltimore Ravens after signing a one-year deal with the team in March 2025. In 17 games with Baltimore, he hauled in 22 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns, averaging exactly 15.0 yards per reception – just shy of his career high of 15.9 yards per catch back in 2014, his second NFL season.
Hopkins, who has enjoyed a Hall of Fame-caliber career, has amassed 1,006 receptions for 13,295 yards and 85 touchdowns over 195 games during his career with the Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs and Ravens since being selected by Houston in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft (No. 27 overall pick).
The big thing missing from his gaudy resume is a Super Bowl ring. He has appeared in one Super Bowl, when he played for the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX (February 2025) and caught two passes for 18 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
As for Lawrence, he is the first-team nose tackle on the All-PFF defensive squad, with former first-team All-Pro Damon Harrison the second-teamer at nose tackle.
The Cincinnati Bengals made one of the biggest splashes of the offseason in April when they acquired Lawrence from the New York Giants in exchange for the No. 10 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. As part of the trade, the Bengals signed Lawrence to a one-year, $28 million contract extension that makes him one of the NFL’s highest-paid D-linemen and keeps him under contract with the Bengals for three years (through the 2028 season) at a total value of $70 million, adding to his previous deal.
Despite a down 2025 season with the Giants, by his own lofty standards, there’s no doubt Lawrence has established himself as a dominant interior defensive line presence in the league.
“Dexter Lawrence II and Damon Harrison are the two players with overall PFF grades above a 92.0 on over 1,000 snaps while lined up at nose tackle. They have identical 92.4 grades and have played over 2,000 snaps at nose tackle,” PFF wrote.
“Nose tackles don’t typically have much success as a pass-rusher, but Lawrence has been excellent,” PFF added. “He boasts a 15.5% pass-rush win rate while lined up at nose tackle, and the 10 other players with over 1,000 nose tackle snaps range from 2.6%-8.5%. Lawrence was also very good against the run, and his well-rounded play gives him the top spot.”
Lawrence collected three straight Pro Bowl selections from 2022-24 and also earned All-Pro honors in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. He became the first Giants player to be voted to three straight Pro Bowls since safety Landon Collins from 2016-18, and if he hadn’t suffered a season-ending elbow injury in 2024, he could have very well earned his third consecutive All-Pro selection as well.
Heading into his eighth NFL season in 2026, Lawrence has racked up 341 total tackles, 40 tackles for loss and 30.5 sacks in 109 career games since being selected by the Giants in the first round (17th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
