Another Clemson pitcher has been taken in the MLB Draft.
Right-handed reliever Ariston Veasey was taken No. 337 overall by the Chicago Cubs in the 11th round of the draft on Sunday. He is the fourth Clemson pitcher to be drafted over the last two days.
Veasey transferred to Clemson ahead of the 2026 season after spending two seasons at Alabama. He became one of the Tigers’ most reliable relievers throughout the season, posting an ERA of 3.29 and had 37 strikeouts in 25.1 innings pitched. Opponents hit just .143 against him.
With Veasey still having more eligibility remaining, he is going to have a decision to make.
