Second Clemson Recruit Selected In MLB Draft

A second Clemson recruit was taken in the MLB Draft.

Outfielder Ethan Offing, who committed in September of 2024, was taken by the Boston Red Sox in the 18th round with the 544th overall pick. He joins RHP Blake Bryant as incoming freshmen who were selected this weekend. Bryant went on Day 1.

Offing, who is out of Dutch Fork High School, is also listed as a shortstop and pitcher at Perfect Game. The publication ranks him No. 192 overall and No. 55 among all shortstops in the country.
