CLEMSON – A veteran Tiger pitcher has been selected in the 2026 MLB Draft, becoming the third Clemson veteran to be selected in this cycle.
Drew Titsworth, a veteran who played three seasons at Clemson, was selected in Round 11 of this year’s draft by the Philadelphia Phillies.
At pick No.339, Titsworth becomes the fifth Tiger pitcher or signee to be taken in the draft.
Titsworth emerged as a starter in 2025 as injuries ravaged the Tigers and was both a starter and reliever in 2026. He pitched a total of 110 innings for Clemson in three seasons, finishing with a 13-4 record.
As a freshman in 2024, Titsworth maintained a 4-0 record in 19 relief appearances, finishing with a career-best 3.15 ERA.
He got his first start in 2025 against Louisville in 2025, giving up no earned runs in six innings of work. The Frankenmuth, Mich., native gave up one or fewer runs in 12 of his 20 appearances that year and finished with the third-most innings pitched on the team (54.2). He made seven starts.
As a junior, Titsworth was mostly used as a reliever, though he did make five starts for the Tigers. He finished with a 4-3 record and 5.09 ERA, striking out 43 in 35.1 innings. He gave up 20 earned runs and had the fifth-most strikeouts of any Tiger pitcher. He struck out 119 in his career at Clemson, becoming one of head coach Erik Bakich’s most reliable arms.
He gave up one or fewer runs in nine of his appearances on the mound last season and secured wins over Coastal Carolina, La Salle, South Carolina and Bryant.
