A former Clemson standout is continuing his basketball career overseas.
After spending four seasons at Clemson and going undrafted in the 2026 NBA Draft, former Clemson guard Dillon Hunter has signed with Eisbären Bremerhaven.
The pro basketball club is based in Bremerhaven, Germany, and competes in the ProA, the second-tier league in Germany.
“I’m excited to be joining your team and can’t wait to get out there and meet my teammates and coaches!” Hunter said in a statement. “Excited for the season and ready to win some games for the loving fans of Bremerhaven!”
The team’s head coach, Ferried Naciri, highlighted Hunter’s elite defensive play, size and other attributes as major assets for the program.
“With Dillon, we are bringing in a point guard from one of the best conferences in college basketball,” Naciri said. “With his size, athleticism and playmaking abilities he will have a very big impact in our team and our league. The most impressive thing with Dillon is his character, competitive spirit and the elite level of defense he brings day in and day out. Connecting all of these factors, he will be a great fit to our program.”
Hunter played in 134 games during his Clemson career, starting 48 of them. In his career, he racked up 555 points, 304 rebounds, 250 assists and 90 steals, averaging 4.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.7 steals per contest.
As a senior during the 2025-26 campaign, Hunter started all 35 games, averaging 7.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game, all career-highs. He shot 41.1 percent from the field, 34.7 percent from 3-point range and 78.6 percent from the free-throw line, all career-highs as well.
