Clemson has extended its first offer to a tight end in the 2028 class, and it is a big one.
Four-star Kaleb Ballard (Wetumpka, AL) announced the offer late Saturday. The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder is ranked as the top tight end in the class at Rivals.
Ballard worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp the first week of June. He also camped at Auburn, Alabama and Florida, among others this summer.
He currently holds more than two dozen offers, with Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, LSU, Ole Miss, and Georgia Tech among some of the other schools to have offered.
As a sophomore, Ballard caught 32 passes for 573 yards with 10 touchdowns.
Rivals ranks him No. 34 overall, No. 1 among all players at the position and No. 2 in the state of Alabama.
