A former Clemson center is now a member of Dabo Swinney’s coaching staff.

Ryan Linthicum has joined the Tigers’ volunteer coaching support staff, per Clemson Football’s official staff directory, which lists Linthicum as an Offensive Player Development Intern.

A two-year starter at center, Linthicum spent the past five years at Clemson before entering the 2026 NFL Draft after exhausting his eligibility in 2025. After going undrafted, Linthicum received a minicamp invite from the Buffalo Bills.  

Linthicum signed with the Tigers as a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. Rivals ranked him as a top-120 national prospect and as the nation’s top center. After redshirting during his debut season, then sparingly playing over the next two seasons, Linthicum took over as the starting center ahead of the 2024 season and started every game over his final two seasons.

Overall, Linthicum played 1,970 offensive snaps over 36 career games (27 starts) during his career as a Tiger, and he played the most snaps of any Clemson player across the 2024-25 seasons (1,867).

In 2025, Linthicum tied eventual first-round NFL Draft pick Blake Miller for the team lead in snaps, playing 885 offensive snaps in 13 games. Linthicum was one of only four offensive players — and one of two offensive linemen — to start every game for the Tigers.

During the 2024 campaign, Linthicum played 982 snaps from scrimmage and was one of 12 Clemson players to start all 14 games. His 982 snaps from scrimmage were the most of any Clemson player that year, and he garnered first-team All-ACC honors from Sports Info Solutions while helping Clemson to a top-15 ranking in total offense at 451.9 yards per game.
