Clemson Commit Ranked Among Best In Country

One of Clemson baseball’s current commits is now ranked among the nation’s best.

2027 catcher Caden Borcherding (Etowah, GA) is now ranked No. 32 overall by Perfect Game after the latest update to the rankings. He also ranks as the second-best catcher in the class.

Borcherding committed to the Tigers last September, choosing Erik Bakich’s program over other schools, which included Alabama, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder was scheduled to take official visits to each of those schools. Alabama got the first one, then he visited Clemson. He committed shortly after that visit and canceled the rest of his officials.

“I just felt like home when I got there,” Borcherding told TCI after the commitment. “I don’t think any of those schools would have been able to compare to Clemson.”
