The USA Today preseason Coaches Poll is out, and the Clemson Tigers are ranked among the Top 25.
Dabo Swinney’s program will come into the season ranked No. 23. The last time Clemson came into a season ranked that low was in 2011, when the Tigers began unranked.
Clemson debuted at No. 6 in the 2025 preseason coaches poll, but after an overly disappointing 7-6 season, the Tigers finished the campaign unranked for the first time since 2010.
Last week, Clemson was picked to finish fourth in the ACC by conference media members.
Clemson will open the season on September 5 on the road against LSU, which comes in at No. 13 in the preseason poll. The Tigers will face one other preseason Top 25 team during the regular season, when Clemson hosts No. 7 Miami on October 3.
