One of Clemson’s current commits has picked up a pretty big preseason honor in the Peach State.

Four-star running back commit Gary Walker (Creekside, GA) was named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Super 11. The AJC Super 11 has recognized Georgia’s 11 best senior high school football players since 1985.

Walker committed to Clemson back in May and stands as the Tigers’ lone running back take in the 2027 class.

“I started this recruiting process with a private non-negotiables list and a positive mindset,” Walker told TCI after he committed. “This choice is supporting my non-negotiables list. Clemson has a relationship culture with a detailed process environment. Emphasis on Jesus Christ, relationships with the coaching staff, the culture around the program, and a culture that supports players on and off the field goals and academics.”

As a junior, Walker rushed for 1,669 yards with 20 touchdowns, helping lead his team to a 4A state title. 247 Sports and Rivals both rank him as one of the eight best backs in the class, with Rivals slotting him No. 131 overall.

Other Georgia recruits already on the Super 11 list include five-star DE and Ohio State commit DJ Jacobs, four-star RB and Georgia Tech commit Moonie Gipson, four-star OL and Nebraska commit Jordan Agbanoma and three-star RB and Stanford commit Marquis Fennell. The other six spots on the list will be revealed in the coming days.
