A former Clemson player has found his new home in college basketball.

Chauncey Wiggins has committed to transfer to Gonzaga, per On3’s Joe Tipton.

Wiggins, who was granted a fifth year of eligibility through a recent injunction, spent his fourth college season at Florida State in 2025-26 following three seasons at Clemson.

For the Seminoles last season, Wiggins averaged 13.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 27.8 minutes per game over 32 contests (30 starts). He shot 47.9 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from 3-point range.

The 6-foot-10, 225-pound forward scored a career-high 31 points in FSU’s win over SMU on March 7. In FSU’s victory at Clemson on Feb. 21, he played 28 minutes and posted seven points with two rebounds, one assist and a steal.

As a junior for the Tigers in the 2024-25 season, Wiggins averaged 8.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. He played in all 34 games (26 starts) and averaged 23.6 minutes per contest while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from 3-point range.

In 2023-24, Wiggins appeared in all 36 games for Clemson (18 starts) en route to the Elite Eight, averaging 17.7 minutes, 5.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 44.2 percent from the floor and 34.9 percent from 3.

As a freshman the season prior, the Georgia native played in 27 games and averaged 8.9 minutes per game with 2.4 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.4 assists per contest.

This summer, Wiggins played with the Boston Celtics in the NBA Summer League, averaging 3.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.3 steals in 7.7 minutes per contest, while shooting 37.5 percent from the field.
