Washington Commanders wide receiver and former Clemson star Antonio Williams continues to turn heads and impress with his performance ahead of his rookie NFL season.

During Washington’s joint practice with the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday leading up to their preseason matchup, Williams capped off the day by catching an impressive touchdown pass from quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Based on reports and videos coming out of the practice, Williams consistently challenged and got the best of Ravens defenders – including fellow former Clemson star Nate Wiggins.

Williams was selected by the Commanders in the third round of April’s NFL Draft with the No. 71 overall pick, and he has opened eyes throughout training camp and the preseason. Prior to this week’s standout reps against Baltimore, Williams also shined in a joint practice against the Miami Dolphins and put together a strong preseason game against the Detroit Lions last Saturday, recording three receptions for 41 yards (13.7 average) on three targets.

His steadily strong play has strengthened his push for the Commanders No. 3 receiver role behind veterans Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs.

Williams was a two-time All-ACC selection who recorded 2,336 yards and 21 touchdowns on 208 career receptions over 43 games (38 starts) during his Clemson career from 2022-25. He exited Clemson ranked fourth in school history in career receptions and tied with Mike Williams for the fourth-most career touchdown receptions in school history.

In 2025, Williams caught 55 passes for 604 yards and four touchdowns over 10 games. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder also rushed 13 times for 78 yards and a touchdown, completed a 75-yard touchdown pass and gained 44 yards on four punt returns en route to third-team All-ACC honors.

The Commanders wrap up their preseason slate with Friday’s contest against the Ravens before opening the regular season on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 13.
