CLEMSON — Clemson will open the 2026 season in Baton Rouge, La., when the ACC’s Tigers take on No. 11 LSU at Tiger Stadium on Sept 5.

On Wednesday, LSU announced the game will be played in front of sold-out crowd. Tiger Stadium has a capacity of 102,321.

The game between the two Tigers is the first between the two college football powers in Baton Rouge. The two have met five times before, with the Bayou Bengals winning four of those five meetings, including the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

LSU beat Clemson last year at Memorial Stadium in Clemson 17-10, the first time the two teams met in a regular season game. The first four meetings in the series all came in the postseason. LSU beat Clemson in the 1959 Sugar Bowl and the 1996 Peach Bowl.

Clemson beat LSU in the 2012 Chick-fil-A Bowl for its only win in the series thus far.
