A former Clemson placekicker is set to be waived.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to waive B.T, Potter ahead of the NFL’s 53-man roster cuts this weekend. While Potter was 4-of-4 on kicks for the Bucs during the preseason, which included a 46-yard field goal, Chase McLaughlin is set to serve in that role for Tampa Bay during the coming season.

Potter originally signed with the Steelers in the offseason of 2023, but was not on the 53-man roster. He spent the 2025 season in the UFL and then signed with Tampa Bay this summer.

Potter’s career at Clemson spanned five seasons (2018-22), and he was 73-of-97 on field-goal attempts and 234-of-235 on PATs.

The two-time All-ACC selection and Lou Groza Award semifinalist in 2022 finished his career with the Tigers as the program’s all-time leader in made field goals (73), made PATs (234), points by a kicker (453) and consecutive PATs made (122).
