A former Clemson Tiger was waived on Sunday as NFL teams are in the midst of making cuts to get down to the 53-man roster.

The Minnesota Vikings have waived former Clemson offensive lineman Tristan Leigh. Leigh, who was signed to a max undrafted free agent deal, could be a candidate to be picked up by another team after extensive playing time during the preseason. Leigh saw time at both left and right tackle with the Vikings.

A former five-star recruit, Leigh assumed a starting role with the Tigers in 2023 and grew into one of the biggest leaders on the team over his final two seasons.

Last year, Leigh was voted as a permanent team captain by his teammates, while also making the All-ACC All-Academic team. Leigh started 10 games and logged more than 60o snaps.

In 2024, Leigh made 12 starts, logging more than 700 snaps, while he had 11 starts in 2024.
