Former Clemson Center Waived

A former Clemson center is being waived by an NFL team.

The Las Vegas Raiders are waiving Will Putnam, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Putnam signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in April 2024. He was also waived in August 2024, before being re-signed to the practice squad. He then signed a reserve/future contract with Las Vegas in January 2025 and re-signed with the Raiders in April of this year.

Last season, Putnam appeared in 15 games for Las Vegas, making two starts. He played 139 total offensive snaps and 44 snaps on special teams.

A two-time All-ACC selection at Clemson, Putnam was a four-year starter along the offensive line for the Tigers, including two seasons at guard in 2020-21 and his two all-conference campaigns at center in 2022 and 2023.
