BATON ROUGE, La. — Veteran offensive lineman Collin Sadler missed Clemson’s 51-10 blowout loss at No. 11 LSU on Saturday night.

Sadler, who was projected to be the starting right tackle, was close to being able to go, Dabo Swinney revealed in the postgame. However, he just couldn’t push through.

“He just wasn’t quite able to get there,” the head coach said. “A fluke thing in the weight room. But he is going to be back.”

When asked if it was a short-term injury, Swinney said yes.

The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder has appeared in 28 games over his career, with 15 of those being starts.

Sophomore Easton Ware got the start in his place. It was not only Ware’s first start but also his first action period after missing all of last season with a shoulder injury.
