Dabo Swinney has provided the latest update on an injured Clemson offensive lineman.

The head coach revealed during his weekly press conference on Tuesday that veteran Collin Sadler is expected to be back for Saturday’s home opener against Georgia Southern.

Sadler, who was expected to be the starter at right tackle against LSU, missed the contest after what Swinney described as a “fluke” injury.

“He just wasn’t quite able to get there,” the head coach said after the LSU loss. “A fluke thing in the weight room. But he is going to be back.”

Sophomore Easton Ware made his first career start in Sadler’s place. Ware redshirted last season after suffering a shoulder injury.

Sadler is one of the most experienced offensive linemen in Matt Luke’s room, having appeared in 28 games over his career, with 15 of those being starts. He has logged close to 1,300 snaps during his first four seasons with the program.
