CLEMSON – Four minutes after Clemson kicked off against Georgia Southern at Memorial Stadium, quarterback Christopher Vizzina threw the Tigers’ first passing touchdown of the season for a 7-0 lead.

Wide receiver T.J. Moore caught Vizzina’s 10-yard pass in the middle of the end zone on second down to take Clemson’s largest lead of the season.

After losing the coin toss, Clemson’s offense sputtered early, punting after just three plays. However, Georgia Southern muffed the punt, and long snapper Jackson Reach jumped on the ball, giving Clemson another possession in favorable position.

From there, running back Gideon Davidson rushed for five and 11 yards, respectively. A pass interference call against the Eagles and a pair of short passes from Vizzina put the Tigers in the red zone, and Vizzina’s first touchdown of the year came on a 2nd-and-goal situation.

The drive lasted seven plays and lasted just shy of three minutes. It was Moore’s tenth receiving touchdown of his career and first this season.
