CLEMSON — Clemson quarterback Tait Reynolds makes his first start on Saturday, as Clemson hosts North Carolina at noon at Memorial Stadium.

Reynolds, a freshman, will be 31st rookie quarterback to face UNC head coach Bill Belichick in his legendary career that crosses both college and the NFL. Belichick is 22-8 in those games versus rookie QBs. However, he is 1-1 at the college level. Can Reynolds and the Tigers make him 1-2?

In two games thus far, Reynolds has come off the bench and completed 20 of 33 passes for 200 yards with no interceptions. He has also rushed for a net 29 yards on 19 carries with no touchdowns. He has fumbled once.

In last week’s win over Georgia Southern, the freshman completed 16 of 27 passes for 178 yards. He ran 14 times for 38 yards. Watch my report on Reynolds and the Tigers below.
