Clemson will hold its second home game of the season on Saturday when North Carolina travels to Tiger Town for a noon kick.
One of the top defensive tackles in the 2028 class will be on hand, with four-star Jamarcus Johnson (Tombs County, GA) set to be on campus. Johnson is a fringe five-star, ranking No. 34 overall at 247, and No. 5 among all defensive linemen in the class.
The 6-foot-5, 308-pounder currently holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Oregon, Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas, among others.
After hosting its top linebacker target, four-star Jay Schell, last weekend, Clemson will bring in another 2028 linebacker the staff is showing a lot of interest in.
Four-star Camden Noe (Portage Central, MI) tells The Clemson Insider that he will be on campus. Noe has yet to receive an offer from the Tigers, but assistant Ben Boulware has had steady contact with the linebacker.
“Clemson has always been a dream school of mine,” Noe recently told TCI. “I love what coach Dabo is doing down there. Love the area down there. South Carolina is beautiful. Again, that is a dream school of mine and to get an offer would mean the world, especially knowing the limited number of offers they throw out. That would be a big-time thing and I am super-excited for that day to come. Excited to get down for a game in the fall for sure. That is a visit we are definitely going to make a priority.”
Before this season, the 6-foot-4, 215-pounder mostly played running back at the high school level, but he made the move to linebacker for his junior campaign. Noe originally planned to camp at Clemson back in June so Boulware could get a look at him in person, but a toe injury kept him from attending any camps this summer.
Noe is considered one of the better prospects in his class. Rivals slots him at No. 67 overall, regardless of position, and as the second-best ATH in the nation.
Four-star safety CJ Craig-James (Porter, AL) also tells TCI he plans to attend. This will mark his first visit to campus.
Craig-James recently released a top schools list that included Clemson, despite him not yet having an offer. Auburn, Florida, Cal, Miami, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon and LSU were the other schools in his Top 12.
“Coach Swinney has a little different process on offering,” Craig-James recently told TCI. “You’ve got to come on campus first. So, they are trying to get me to come on campus and make the offer official. The time didn’t work out right because we were still in school and stuff when they had the camps.”
Here are some other visitors TCI has confirmed are planning to attend.
- Three-star S Isaiah Reeves
- LB Garrett Young
- In-state WR Desiray Christian
- S Cooper Vahle
- 2029 LB Trenton Gibbs
