After catching a career-high 11 touchdowns last season, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver and former Clemson star Tee Higgins found the end zone on Sunday for his first touchdown of the 2026 NFL season. And he did so in spectacular fashion.

Higgins’ strong performance was highlighted by an incredible 28-yard touchdown catch from Joe Burrow just before halftime of the Bengals’ eventual 30-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

Higgins boxed out the defender for the highlight-reel score as he was falling to the ground. You can see it below:

Higgins finished Sunday’s game with six receptions for 90 yards and the TD on seven targets.

Higgins has been heavily involved in the Bengals’ passing attack to begin the 2026 campaign, as he caught three passes for 59 yards in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before adding five receptions for 95 yards in Week 2 against the Houston Texans.

Higgins has two 1,000-yard receiving seasons under his belt in his NFL career and has hauled in double-digit touchdown receptions in each of the last two seasons.

Higgins is coming off a 2025 season where he earned his first career Pro Bowl selection. In 15 games last year, he registered 59 receptions for 846 yards, and he tied for second in the NFL with his 11 touchdown receptions despite missing a couple of games due to concussions.

Though Higgins had never been a Pro Bowler before last season, he has been highly productive over his career since being selected by the Bengals in the second round (33rd overall pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Entering the 2026 season, he had caught 389 passes for 5,441 yards and 45 touchdowns across 85 career regular season games, while recording at least 900 receiving yards in four of his first six seasons, including back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns in 2021 and 2022. Higgins has also appeared in seven playoff games and ranks second in Bengals history in both postseason receptions (31) and postseason receiving yards (457).

Higgins and the Bengals host Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday in Week 4.
