Miami was missing a couple of key players for Saturday’s matchup against Central Michigan.

Starting running back Mark Fletcher Jr. and starting defensive tackle Ahmad Moten Sr. both missed the contest. Turns out, the Hurricanes didn’t need them, as Miami rolled to a 52-3 win.

Head coach Mario Cristobal revealed after the win that Fletcher was expected back this weekend when No. 4 Miami visits Death Valley for a prime-time affair against Clemson.

“We feel like Mark Fletcher is healthy and ready to go,” Cristobal said after Saturday’s win. “He was banged up to the point where it may not have been the best choice to put him in there, especially with his running style because he runs hard. It was more holding him back. He is ready to roll.”

Fletcher is averaging 6.4 yards per carry through his first three games.

Cristobal has now also revealed that Moten is also expected back for this weekend’s game against the Tigers.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder played a big part in helping Miami reach the national title game last season, recording 31 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and four sacks. Through three games this season, he’s registered three tackles and 0.5 sacks.
