What is arguably Clemson’s top commit will make his return to campus this weekend.

Five-star wideout Jamarin Simmons (Godby, FL) tells The Clemson Insider he plans to visit for Clemson’s prime time affair against No. 4 Miami on Saturday night. It will mark Simmons first visit since taking an official visit over the summer.

Through the first five games of his senior season, the 5-foot-11 wideout has 576 receiving yards with six touchdowns, and is averaging 18.6 yards per reception.

Simmons was in the news in recent weeks due to Florida attempting to flip the blue-chip talent. The Gators attempted to lure the highly-touted wideout in for a visit last weekend for the team’s blowout win over Ole Miss but were unsuccessful. With a player of his stature, teams are going to continue to come after him.

Simmons picked up one of Clemson’s opening offers last summer after an impressive showing at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. He was the first receiver in his class to pick up an offer from the Tigers. He committed just before taking his official in late May.

Simmons is one of three receivers currently committed, along with four-star Trey Wimbley and three-star Julian Cromartie.

As a junior, Simmons reeled in 59 catches for 932 yards with 14 touchdowns. He also went 2-of-2 passing for 120 yards with one touchdown throw.

247 ranks Simmons No. 26 overall, No. 5 among all wide receivers in the class and No. 3 in the state of Florida.
