Erik Bakich has picked up another commitment for the Clemson baseball program.

2028 shortstop Peter Pignatiello (Benet Academy, IL) has committed to the Tigers.

“I am extremely blessed and honored to announce my commitment to Clemson University to continue my academic and baseball career,” Pignatiello said. “First, I want to thank my parents for the sacrifices they have made to allow me to play the game I love. Thank you to my family, friends, and coaches who have helped me along this journey.

“Lastly, I want to thank Coach Bakich and the entire Clemson staff for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to play baseball at the next level!”

Pignatiello ranks inside the Top 150 overall and as the fourth-best prospect in the state of Illinois.

This marks the third commitment for Bakich and Clemson baseball this month, with Pignatiello joining 2028 catcher Henry Tutera and 2028 RHP Finn Boyles.
