Clemson has officially extended an offer to one of the top defensive backs in the country.
Four-star cornerback Tyler Boyd (Carrollton, GA) announced the offer on Friday afternoon.
The 6-foot, 190-pounder has close to 50 offers in total, with almost every major football program in the country having extended one.
Boyd has taken game-day visits to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and LSU already this season. He was on hand in Baton Rouge for Clemson’s season-opening loss.
Boyd was on campus at Clemson back in the summer during Dabo Swinney’s high school camp.
The blue-chip talent ranks as high as No. 38 overall and No. 5 at his position.
