CLEMSON — Clemson has offered its first running back in the 2028 recruiting class.
Four-star Xander Edwards (Bolles School, FL) picked up an offer while on an unofficial visit to the school, The Clemson Insider confirmed. He attends the same high school that produced freshman wideout, Naeem Burroughs.
Edwards was at Virginia Tech for the Hokies’ loss to Pitt on Friday night.

Edwards was in Florida last weekend for the Gators’ win over Ole Miss, and he was at Wisconsin the week before. Florida State and Kentucky also got early season visits. Ohio State, Miami, Indiana, Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee are all currently scheduled for future visits this season.
Through the first five games of his junior season, Edwards has rushed for 684 yards, averaged 8.7 yards per carry and scored seven touchdowns.
The blue-chip talent has close to 40 offers, including Florida, Miami, Ohio State, Indiana and Tennessee, to name just a few.
Edwards ranks as high as No. 127 overall and No. 6 among all running backs in the 2028 class.
The Tigers also offered five-star wideout Madoxx Davis (Cartersville, GA). The 5-foot-11 prospect also visited for the Miami game.
Davis already holds numerous offers, including Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Florida, South Carolina and Notre Dame.
Through six games, Davis has 24 catches for 612 yards. 12 of his 24 catches have gone for touchdowns.
The 247 Composite ranks Davis No. 23 overall, No. 5 among all receivers in the 2028 class and No. 3 in the state of Georgia.
