Former Clemson Lineman Reunites with NFL Team

A former Clemson lineman has reunited with an NFL team.

Former Tiger offensive tackle Tristan Leigh signed with the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad, the team announced this week.

It’s a reunion for the Vikings and Leigh, as he signed as an undrafted free agent with Minnesota in April after not hearing his name called during the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Vikings later waived Leigh in late August ahead of the NFL’s 53-man roster cutdown deadline. He was signed to the Vikings’ practice squad the following day before being released from the practice squad shortly thereafter.

Leigh saw extensive playing time during the preseason, with time at both left and right tackle with the Vikings.

After signing with Clemson as a five-star recruit in the 2021 recruiting class, Leigh took over a starting role in the 2023 season. He started 33 games over the last three seasons, with most of those coming at left tackle.

Last year, Leigh started 10 games and logged more than 600 snaps. In 2024, he made 12 starts, logging more than 750 snaps. He also played more than 750 offensive snaps while starting 11 games in 2023.

Overall, the 6-foot-4, 312-pounder played 2,202 offensive snaps over 42 games in his five-year career as a Tiger from 2021-25.

Prior to the 2025 season, Leigh was voted by his teammates as a permanent team captain, while also making the All-ACC Academic Team in 2025, and he’s now continuing to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL.
