A former Clemson commit has announced a verbal pledge to a new school.
Three-star LB RJ Hudson announced a commitment to Texas on Monday. Hudson recently decommitted from the Tigers so he could take an official visit to Austin.
Hudson committed to Clemson in June, about a week after picking up an offer from the Tigers. He took his official visit to Clemson, June 12-14. The recruiting services list him as an edge, although the Tigers took him as a linebacker.
As a junior, Hudson had 45 tackles with 13 sacks. He also added a pair of forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, along with two pass breakups and an interception.
Hudson’s defection left Clemson with two linebacker commits in four-star Bryce Kish and three-star Max Brown.
