Former Clemson star Trevor Lawrence had a highly efficient performance Sunday, continuing his stellar start to the NFL season.
Coming off the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 7 bye, Lawrence picked up right where he left off before the week off.
Lawrence posted a nearly perfect 153.3 passer rating, completing 10 of 14 passes for 210 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions to lead the Jaguars to a blowout 42-7 home victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.
Lawrence threw touchdown passes to Brian Thomas Jr. (12 yards) and Nate Boerkircher (31 yards) as the Jaguars built a 28-0 halftime lead at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. Lawrence capped off his day with a 25-yard touchdown pass to Bhayshul Tuten on the final play of the third quarter.
After Jacksonville improved to 5-2, sitting comfortably atop the AFC South standings, Lawrence will look to keep his strong 2026 momentum going as the Jaguars shift their attention to a quick turnaround for a Thursday Night Football road matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
The 2021 No. 1 overall draft pick and a 2022 Pro Bowler, Lawrence entered Sunday’s game vs. the Colts having completed 65.2 percent of his passes for 1,480 yards and 14 touchdowns with just four interceptions through the first six games this season. The 27-year-old is in his sixth NFL campaign.
